Yes there are snakes, and snake charmers, in Morocco like this one I chanced upon in the Casbah of Tangier. Snake charming in Morocco goes back centuries and was the preserve of the Sunni Sufi order of the Aissaoua brotherhood founded in the Meknes region in the 15th century.
