Franzen Feeding Frenzy
Seems these days that everyone is an amateur food photographer. It’s not unusual to see diners standing over their dishes, lording an SLR or just their iPhone to snap some photos of a stack of pancakes or the perfectly runny eggs Benedict. Food though, can be a tricky beast (I mean who can make a bowl of stew look good in a dimly lit restaurant?), and so we’re doubly impressed when someone can not only shoot beautiful photographs, but they can shoot beautiful food photographs.
We thought you’d enjoy this roundup of gorgeous, drool-inducing photos from Brooklyn-based Nicole Franzen. She’s a sought-after food (and foodie) photographer and has worked with Bon Appetite, Food & Wine and Food52. Take a peek at this smorgasbord of some of her favorite food shots.
Bryce wants to take Nicole out to dinner and press her for all the tips about shooting bowls of stew.
