Why: Rio is full of rooftop pools. All along the Copacabana and Ipanema beachfronts there are a plethora of pools for your plunging pleasure. No pool, however, quite comes close to the iconic Fasano piscina. It is an infinity pool that seems to stretch out over Ipanema beach and gather all the sun’s rays in its gently dappling undulations. It is also a place to be seen and to people watch. The bar serves criminally tasty caipirinhas and the staff are ever attentive to your poolside needs. As the sun dips down over the ocean, the glitterati of Rio descend upon the bar and drink cocktails as the hazy light goes down and a pink glow descends.
