Pool Party: Marrakech
The mercury is shooting up to 33°C in Toronto today. What better time to begin our new series on the pools we daydream about all summer.
Where: La Sultana Marrakech, Morocco
Why: Sitting by a pool and staring at a brick wall isn’t usually that enticing. But when the wall in question is a Gothic-arched thin-bricked colonnaded dazzler, well, that’s a whole different story. One of many pools at this boutique hotel on the edge of the medina (old part of town), this one gets my vote for the best place to dream away the afternoon after a morning of hustling, bustling and bargaining around the souks (markets).
Charlie Scott is unfortunately staring at a much less enticing brick wall in our office, until he can escape to the pools of Morocco again.
