Trufflepig and 1% for the Planet

We’re excited to formalise the pledge made in our Hoofprint Project, by officially joining the 1% to the Planet community. This remarkable organisation brings together thousands of businesses worldwide who commit to donating 1% of sales to environmental causes.

It’s great for us because we can rely on their established expertise in identifying and certifying valid partners for giving, allowing us to concentrate on what we do best, which is trip planning. We choose from a range of many thousands of environmental partners in the countries in which we operate, and give knowing that the money is going directly to well validated causes where the impact will be real.

As part of our commitment, we continue to support The Narwhal who are part of 1% for the Planet’s network, and we are finishing a several-year commitment to Smile Train. We’ll shortly be holding an internal vote to identify the two new partners who’ll be recipients of our philanthropic giving for next year, and we’ll post the results of that vote once it’s taken place.
