Pool Party: Bali

The first time I saw this pool I was moved to tiers. Okay, lame dad joke. What are you going to do, throw me in the pool? Please do (just make sure it’s this one).

Where: Amankila, Bali, Indonesia

Why: Trickling down the steep green hillside, everything about this resort is delicious and dramatic. Raised walkways connect thatch-roofed villas, staff are always smiling and slide graciously to your call, and the view. Wow, that view. More of a see the sea sensibility than a see and be seen scene, the three-tiered pool may well be my all-time favourite place to go for a dip.
